Allison and the "big girl" bed

Allison is growing SO fast, she even outgrew her toddler bed. Ed and I spent part of Saturday rearranging her room to make space for her "big girl" bed. When she came home from Grandma and Papoo's house, she was so excited she could barely stand it! She stayed in her room most of the evening and played on her new bed - I'm pretty sure she likes it. :o)

Winter comes to Oklahoma

We woke up to the most spectacular sight this morning - almost 3 inches of ice - YIPPPEEEE!!! Actually, it is very beautiful to look at - if only it weren't so dangerous. I had to go to work, but Allison and Levi got to stay home with dad - I'm sure they'll have lots of fun. The weather service is calling for 1-3 inches of snow on top of the ice - we may be enjoying LOTS of togetherness over the next few days.

Yea for the Bumboo

Levi is doing terrific - he has grown so very much. This weekend we really noticed how much better head control he has. He finally got to spend some time in his bumbo seat - I think he enjoyed getting to sit up like a "big boy".

Grandma and Papoo come to visit

This was a very special weekend for the kids - Grandma and Papoo came to spend the night! Everyone seemed to have a terrific time - I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, the kids or the adults. Grandma surprised Allison with some new rain boots - they look like frogs. Needless to say, Allie was THRILLED - she wore them with everything - including her pajamas!

Little Couchpotatoes

We are a bit worried about what we are raising. It appears that not only does our three-year old have the tendency to be a couch potato, but now our sweet, little boy seems to be going over to the dark side. ;o)

The two of them were quite engrossed in Madaline - I think Levi was enjoying it as much as Allison!

SNOW!!!!

Allison was SOOO excited when we woke up and saw snow on the ground. It is not much, but she is convinced that she is going to get to make snow angels this afternoon. She wanted her Gran to be able to see this picture of her in the snow with her pigtails. She also wanted me to post this picture of our pond with snow on it because it is very "lovely" - as she puts it. :o)

Birdhouse

Allison and her Daddy worked on a project together this weekend. Well, Ed worked on it and Allie supervised. ;o)

They built a birdhouse for the "Chickadee Chicks", as Allie calls them. Ed was hoping to paint it a nice blue or green, but Allison was insistent that the birds would prefer pink. Needless to say, pink won out over blue or green. After they (actually Ed) finished building and painting, they mounted the birdhouse outside our kitchen window so we can watch the birds come and go. Allison had a terrific time working with her Daddy and Ed got a chance to practice some fruits of the Spirit - mainly, patience. :o)
